The important thing is, they know how to handle the clients which means they have a strong client base.

 

Keys to success: The keys for Betty Winker to success are location, environment, convenience, and reputation. It is important to provide easily accessible location for our clients. We need to provide relaxing and professional services in our environment. We will offer the customers various services in one setting with convenient and extend our business hours if it is possible. The most important thing to maintain a good reputation is to providing superior personal service and pay attention to the complain customers make.

 

2. Company Summary: the company was formed in July 2001 by four individuals with experience in various industries. Salon has found several locations, lined up for their products and has brought several employees to participate in this risk. Betty Winker will sell a wide range of beauty services and products. We will provide quality hair, nail, massage, shaving, and even skin care services, along with the top of the line beauty products.

Company Locations and Facilities: The Betty Winker Salon will be located in downtown beside the Pizza Hut at 2531 Wilson Street, Detroit, Michigan.

The salon will be 1700 square feet. The location is situated in prosperous streets in Detroit. We will make a big noticeable signboard where people could easily recognize our salon.

 

3. Service: We will supply our services and products to satisfy our customer’s physical aspect. Salon is considered an upscale full service beauty salon. Our services include hair, nails, and skin care. For hair part, we do serve cuts, perms, color, shampoo, curling, reconstructing, and waving. For nails part, we serve manicures, pedicures, and polishing nails.

For skin care part, we serve massage and North American facials only.

 

Competitive Comparison: Most beauty salons specialized in only one or two services. Some may offer hair services while another salon offer nail treatment. Betty Winker found that the clients are completely satisfied all the services she provided. The problem is people have to get their hair, nail, and skin care done at different places. From now on, Betty Winker is ready to offer other services in one location. So that would be more convenient for the clients. There are other salons who charge the upscale prices. In Betty Winker, we will offer the reasonable price for those who don’t want to spend too much money in luxury salon.

4. Marketing Strategy: Satisfying what clients need are our best marketing tool. When customers leave our salon with attractive hair, he or she will be broadcasting Betty Winker to the public. That is how Betty Winker can always get a good reputation and leave a great impression for clients. We never use major add campaigns, but we do run an advertisement in the newspaper and fashion magazine. We don’t brag about how incredible our hair salon is, but word of mouth from our clients will be the best advertisement for our salon. The deals we make with our customers are, if they refer their friends to our salon for hair services, he or she will get discount. We will also give discounts to our new customers which is the one our clients referred. It is an excellent strategy to score the new clients and not the bribery.

Management Team: Betty Winker: Owner. Betty has been a hair stylist for six years. She is a graduate of Chicago Beauty College in 1995. Betty has worked for several salons in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago. She has been very successful with her salon shops. She is god at making a conversation with clients and providing great services.

Denny Longs: Owner: Denny earns a bachelor degree in Finance from Yale University. He worked with a team that specialized in retail business and services.

Jason Lachee: Owner. He has a doctoral degree in Commerce at Northwestern University. He used to be the president of sales for dollar store. He has lots of experiences of business management.

 

Personal Plan: I would like to hire a receptionist who is responsible to greet customers and arrange the beautician for them. Six professional barbers, three nail technician, two massage technician, and one shampoo technician would be enough in our shop. This is just the future plan once the business expands. In the first year, I could only afford to hire three professional barbers, one nail technician, and one massage technician. The receptionist will also be hire because the first impression is always important to the customers. Once our business grows after two years, we will hire more technicians as possible as we can.

 

6. Financial Plan: Our goal is to be a profitable business beginning in the first month. I assume that revenues will grow at rate of 20% each year, increasing 25% in September and October due to the historical jump in revenues at this time of year. We expect this increase stay steady throughout the following year. We are not quite sure how much will generate for nails and massage services. We estimate revenues from these services to be only $1300 a month for the first year.
